It’s a brilliant effort. I’m really happy to see so much of “josh” in you and your team. You can always call me anytime, anywhere whenever needed. Let us make it a success. Let the new Gorkhas coming to Delhi look up to this Organisation proudly and be assured that the help is just round the corner.
The suggestion given by Sankalp Lama is a good one. Let us give a thought to his suggestions.

We need to have as Sankalp said transparency in our dealings… we are not some kind of secret society and we are definitely not some conspiracy theorists… so let’s come out in the open and let’s be open about our approach.
I request the website administrators to kindly put options for online registration with options to upload our pictures, as this will help us recognize who the members are and if needs be we can recognize each other… Just my thoughts..

Bishal bhai, please try to advertise this site in search engines like google to reach more people, I am not quite sure how to do this but I believe that you can find out. If I ever find out how, I shall let you know immediately.

Hi first of all, I would like to extend my warm regards and wishes for taking this step to create the informatics site about us people.
Now I would like to suggest some of the thoughts I have, I guess we should start this site with the history of us, achievements, honors and things like these. Some pics would be real info visions to our new upcoming generation and every gorkhali in Gorkhali community.
But I really appreciate the steps has taken and started this bog.
I would be honored if I can really blog something there.

I appreciate with your aims and intentions for our brothers & sisters. It will great help to them. I am always with you. I was thinking to call you up at day time, but you might be busy with your work. Our demand for separate state (At present we dont say Gorkhaland) is in peak. Now people woke-up and jointly moving ahead. I started to read Himalaya Darpan and as well as Darjeeling times.
Bhai, in my opinion, we should do something for the people of Darjeeling who are fighting for us. I also faught and was jailed two times at the time of Ghishing, so that I am here for the last nearly 14 years for bread and butter. Let it be…. I will talk to you either today evening if you are free or tomorrow.

We run a social networking site exclusively for the Gorkha youths of the hills .We want the people of the hills to have their own share of Social networking on the web .We are a non profit organisation we dont have any sponsors .We have been doing this from our own pocket money. We do not have any media backing us. The site had more than 500 Gorkha members earlier in just six months , the database got corrupted on December 2007 .This site was improved and relaunched on 2008 January first week, since then the members have been increasing daily and has crossed more than a hundred by now .Gorkha Welfare Society can write blogs, post images or use our site as a media for reaching out the Gorkha youth .

I am extremely sorry I could not make it to the very first meeting of our
society. I consider myself very unfortunate for being absent. We had our
Annual Festival “Confluence08″ from 6th to 9th so I was engaged with
committee duties during the fest. I read the details of the meeting which
took place in Safdarjung and I feel more miserable for not being there.
With reference to the idea proposed by Mr.Binu Sundas to set up a
Gorkha Help Desk during college admission days. I think its a great idea
and we should work on it. I remember trying to work things out to get a
college for my cousin not so long ago, and how I’d wished for some help.
Now that we have a society we can help our students. Though I am a student
myself, Im restricted by college schedule. I would love to help students
seeking admission in and around Delhi. I would be happy to help them with
the admission procedures and examination details to technical institutes.

Hello Bishal,
Do post what is the latest position on getting the Delhi group registered.
Also like I suggested before you could check if we could possibly think of calling ourselves “Gorkha Goodwill Society” as I said I got feedback saying “Welfare” sounded like a dole.
What about the registration fee & donation for the Society funds…do discuss and get people’s opinions on that.
We definitely need to do something in Delhi to create an awareness amongst our fellow Indians on who we are…camps for blood donation and with the monsoons here going in for greening Delhi would be good.
Great to hear that Kolkata has started a Youth wing and that Bangalore too is looking to start one…
What about Amchi Mumbai? Last October when I was in Mumbai I was surprised to see that a “Gorkhali” newspaper was available on the newsstand…I think there are a lot of us Gorkhas also in Mumbai.

We are in the process of strengthening the association for Gorkhas living here in Bangalore – the Bharatiya Gorkhali Welfare Association. The admission of new members has just begun in all earnestness. A large number of young Gorkhas have moved to Bangalore for work in the recent past and a welfare association for them was very essential.

Gai gorkha to all the nepalese people of kalimpong and its othoers subdivision.All the people just talking about Darj why?not about Beautiful and Brave gorkhas men and women of Kalimpong.why?not about Chattra Subba,whois still in Jail for nothing.please help him to get out of the jail so he can help for our further Gorkhaland Programme.Kalimpong was most strongest and important factor in our first gorkhaland revolution cause we havve fought with our heart and soul and we had only one goal that was our new Home Gorkhaland .I love my kalimpong.I wish you all the best for further achivment.shah
